SovereigntyMap is run by a French non-profit association. Strategic directions are approved by a board; day-to-day operations are handled by an operational team.

Independent, transparent governance
SovereigntyMap is designed to resist conflicts of interest. Here is how decisions are made and how the independence of assessments is guaranteed.
Methodology committee
An independent committee validates the scoring methodology and its changes. Any weighting change is publicly documented before going live.
Transparency & conflicts of interest
Rated providers do not take part in score definition and cannot influence it. Members' interests are disclosed.
Funding
The project is supported by the association, grants and donations, with no influence over assessments. The funding structure is published yearly.
